1.       Open terminal type apt-get install flashplugin-nonfree and hit enter
                                                                     (click image for large view) 

2.       After finishing the installation run this command  update-flashplugin-nonfree –install

3.    Done !! you can check your adobe flash player under add-remove software

  1. This is not working.. what to do i get error stating "E: Unable to locate package flashplugin"

    1. Sathish Kumar, If it doest work for youu kindly try to install manually just follow the instruction
      1. Launch your browser

      2. Open this website for downloading flash player : http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/ or http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/otherversions/
      ( download tar.gz for other Linux)

      3. Launch the terminal and open the folder path where downloaded flash file is stored then run the following command.
      tar xzvf install_flash_player_11_linux.x86_64.tar.gz

      4. Now run last command (Note: Do not change the folder path stay in the same folder where you unpacked the files)
      cp libflashplayer.so /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins/

      i hope this will work for you
